Hello, my name is Onyx and I have a story to tell you....
I found myself at the pound in Puerto Vallarta where I waited for a family for a whole year...I'm a little shy at first, you see, so nobody was really able to see how special and sweet I am. But that's ok because now I am in Edmonton and I have a real chance to meet my forever family, thanks to my rescuers.
I am a VERY good dog. I weigh about 40 pounds and they say I'm about 2 years old. I know to do my business outside, have very polite manners in the house and I just love to get head scratches, pets, rubs, snuggles...you name it and I am up for it!
I love to go in my kennel for my afternoon naps and also for bed time. It's my happy, safe place and I like the comfort of my blankets and pillows. I had nothing but concrete for most of my previous life so I'm living it up now!
I am an excellent Squirrel Patroler and I will keep your yard free from those chattering furry pestering things! Ahem. I love to chase them and could really watch them all day long. I also love bird watching. My favorites are Wood Peckers because they make cool sounds. I'm really a very avid and educated outdoorsman and hope to find someone who will take me lots of fun places!
I would do well in a home with other dogs as I am very friendly to everyone I meet. I love to run and play at the park too! I would say I'm a medium-energy guy as I love to walk and run but also enjoy my quiet time on the couch. I like cats too and I am really just a super nice, all-around dude with a wonderful temperament.
I am neutered, up to date on all my vaccinations and best of all...I'm housetrained!!
