Marmalade's Story...
Hi I’m Marmalade! I am six years old and up to date on all vaccinations!

Not much is known about my previous history except that my life has been a bit of a rocky ride. As you can see from my picture, my tail is not all there -- when the kind ladies from a local business found me with, it was hanging off! So, they took me to the vet to have it fixed. There was a nice lady who has been feeding me for a couple of years, so I have been out on the streets far longer then I cared to be.

I’m so grateful that someone has finally come to my rescue, my foster mom says that I am just the cuddliest cuddle bug there is. My favourite activities include purring, head butting, following my foster mom around and curling up in a good lap. I enjoy a good car ride and am happy to sit in my cat carrier and stare out the window. I’m still not sure about other cats but I know those big fuzzy things they call dogs are very scary! I would prefer to go to a home without any of those please!

If you think you could be my forever home, please inquire about me!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marmalade, a THORNHILL Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in THORNHILL, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in THORNHILL.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in THORNHILL already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a THORNHILL breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in THORNHILL paves the way for another one to be saved.
