Hunter's Story...
Hi my name is Hunter! I weigh in at 8 lbs and I’m 8” tall at the shoulder. I am a 4 1/2 year old male, Rat Terrier/Chihuahua blend. My foster mom says I have a zest for life! I love to play, run and have fun with my toys. I love to go for walks or rides in the car. I play with my foster dog brother Parker and enjoy going to dog training class each week. When it is time to settle in I can lie quietly beside you on the couch or snuggle in my bed. I am good with older children (8+). I am house-broke and crate trained. I would be a great addition to your family and provide companionship for years to come.

He is micro-chipped, neutered and up to date on all shots. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org or phone 707-529-4643.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter, a Winters Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Winters, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Winters.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winters already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winters breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winters paves the way for another one to be saved.
