My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHEWY: Friendly, Young, and full of life! We met this gorgeous boy when a young kid brought him in to us, covered in urine, and said he found him. Long nails and urine-stained fur clearly indicate that Chewy was not taken outside and likely confined in very small space.

The past is the past and Chewy's future looks GREAT because we know about him after his evaluation and lots of interactions with our trainers is that he is a wonderful dog who is very relaxed and easy-going with dogs and cats and super friendly with all the people he has met. He does not show any resource guarding at all and is enjoying walks and cuddle/wiggle time with lots of our volunteers.

He has some exuberance that is normal for a healthy young dog and makes some mistakes with his mouthy behavior, stealing a glove, grabbing a short sleeve on occasion but we are totally confident that with some normal life training, being in a home with structure and some dog experience, he is going to be a STELLAR DOG. He turns heads everywhere he goes with his piercing eyes, unique blue/white coloring, and bouncy gait.

Do you want to shape this boy into the best dog on the block? Do you want a dog that will bond with you, love training, and keep you active? Chewy as it all! The best part about this guy is that when he comes inside for some lobby or office 'chill-out' time, he loves to just settle right down and curl up on a dog bed…..Active outside and calm inside!

He is learning all sorts of great new things with us at the shelter but he deserves to live a REAL LIFE and not spend many hours alone in a kennel. Watch his video to get a good idea of Chewy's personality---and then come down to meet him. He would do great in a number of home dynamics and we would be happy to set up a meet and greet with your family- human, canines, and felines alike!
