Puckett's Story...
Please meet Puckett (Boo's sister). This sweet puppy was at Memphis animal services, in a part of the shelter where the public is not allowed to view the dogs. He was a part of a litter of six puppies, four of his siblings were euthanized before we even knew they were there. We have learned that the only reason Puckett and her sister were not euthanized, was because the kennel tech did not have time to move them to the euthanasia room. You may wonder why sweet puppies are euthanized, it's a question we asked ourselves daily. However the shelter here in Memphis euthanizes approximately 60% of the animals they take in. Sweet, healthy, adoptable dogs meet the same fate that her brothers and sisters met. We could not let this happen to him, we did not want him to be a part of this sad statistic.

Puckett is living in a foster home, where he is receiving all the loving care a little puppy needs to do well in life. His adoption fee is $500 and will include his vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and transportation from Memphis to your area. Please contact us if you're interested in little Puckett.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Puckett, a Chicago Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
