Takoda's Story...
Takoda (Native American for "friend to everyone") is 2 year old large, sweet male husky/malamute./shepherd cross who was found as a stray. He loves people and other dogs and is good with small breeds and kids. Takoda is very energetic and playful, house-trained, crate-trained, and he travels well in the car. He still has lots of puppy in him and will need continued training, but he’s eager to please and willing to learn.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Takoda, a Cedar Crest Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute for sale in Cedar Crest, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute dog from a breeder in Cedar Crest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cedar Crest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cedar Crest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cedar Crest paves the way for another one to be saved.
