Sport is mostly a Red Heeler who is very handsome and loving and outgoing with his foster parents. He is timid with new people and needs to be able to make up with someone on his time. Sport was not socialized with other animals or people when he came to us and it took his foster parents about a month, but then they were getting kisses and doggie hugs. He has a good heart and wants to be a great dog, but he's still insecure and will need someone willing to help him gain and keep his confidence.

Sport is crate and house trained, lives with lots of other dogs and has learned how to get along with most of them and made some good doggie friends. We don't feel Sport would be good with children because he is insecure and needs his space to make friends, but we have not seen him with children.

Sport's estimated DOB is August, 2010. He is fully vetted: microchipped, current on vaccines, neutered and on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. If you are interested in meeting or adopting Sport, please fill out our online application at Hillcrestanimalrescue.org.

About Hillcrest Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Hillcrest Animal Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to saving as many homeless, neglected and abused animals as our resources allow. All of our rescues are placed in loving foster homes and receive thorough medical care. Each companion animal is heartworm tested and treated if positive; placed on monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention; altered and micro chipped. Every animal receives a full complement of vaccines depending on risk and immune status. Chronic pain is not acceptable with animals in our care. We will take whatever measures are necessary to ensure that all of our animals are living free of pain and disease. To summarize our belief in veterinary care, any animal at Hillcrest Rescue receives the same level of veterinary care as if she or he were the only animal we have.
