Bio: Please meet Lulu! She is a super adorable white French bulldog with black markings. She is 4 years old and weighs about 28 pounds. Lulu came into our care as an owner surrender because she did not get along with the dog in her previous home AT ALL. So we took her in, put some much needed weight on her, and she is now looking for her furever home!
Lulu is a pretty easy going Frenchie, and it doesn't take much to make her happy. As long as she has food in her bowl and gets her belly rubbed every now and then, she is quite content! This little lady has plenty of energy, and enjoys being with people. When it comes to dogs, she is EXTREMELY dog selective and can get pretty aggressive with other dogs. She MUST go to a home with NO other dogs, no exceptions. While she did do well with her foster dog siblings, we tried to adopt her to a home with another dog and it did not go well at all. To reiterate, she was surrendered for being aggressive with the dog in her previous home.
When Lulu came into our care, she had a case of demodex mange but that has cleared up. She is currently eating a salmon and sweet potato food, and she will need to stay on this same food, no exceptions. Lulu is very protective of her food bowl and tends to stay near it – sometimes she even tries to hide it. She prefers to eat whenever she wants, is very laid back about it, and will not finish a bowl of food in one sitting. Although she did have surgery to correct her enlongated palate and nares, she sometimes sounds congested when she breathes – especially if she gets overly excited. She has been to the vet, and her lungs sound clear and an xray of her lungs also showed nothing, so the verdict is this is just the way she breathes.
Lulu has a habit of just jumping into your lap no matter what you’re doing, and can get pretty excited, so she will do best with a home with children 8 and over. She is not 100% potty trained, but she is mostly there. She will go in the house if you don't let her out on a regular basis, so a consistent potty schedule is in her best interest. Lulu does well in a crate, and doesn’t mind being there. It really doesn't take much to keep her happy!
All in all, Lulu is a wonderful little lady with a fantastic temperament, and she is sure to make someone very happy! She is spayed and up to date on all her shots. Please consider opening up your heart and giving Lulu her loving furever home!
