My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello there, my name is Rory!

I am a really lucky cat to have ended up in a really great foster home.  My foster mom pulled me from a high kill shelter on my very last day, I was supposed to be euthanized because the shelter said that I was "feral".  My foster mom took me because she has an awesome farm where a colony of feral kitties live.  But as soon as she picked me up, she realized I was definitely not feral.  Out of the shelter environment, it was clear that I am a very sweet boy.  I absolutely love people and am very friendly.  Oh, and would you believe it, I am front declawed!  If I had been thrown outside, I would not have made it!

Though I'm good with most cats, I'm not a fan of dominate male cats.  I’m cautious around new dogs, but once I know they are safe and respectful I don't mind them at all.

I use my litter box without any accidents.  I have had that down for a very long time.  I use the scratching post too even though I don't really need to because I have no front claws!  I love catnip and climbing the cat trees in my foster home.

Since I was living outside for awhile I'm always on the hunt for food.  My foster mom tries to keep all the food (human, dog & cat) locked up tight, but I'm smart and sometimes I'm still able to steal some food.  I also like to be outside and try to sneak out the door.  My foster mom says that's not safe and so she takes my on walks around the backyard on a harness and leash.  I love my outside adventures.

I am fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (and declawed as I mentioned).  So I am all ready to go to my forever home with you whenever you are ready to have me!  I am loving it here in my foster home, but my foster mom said that forever homes are even better!  That would mean that another kitty in need could take my place, so that is pretty exciting.

I have "kitty asthma" so I need prednisolone daily to help me breath easily.  Since I like food so much my foster mom just drop the pill in my food dish and I don't even notice.  My foster mom says my meds only cost around $15/month.

Would you please consider giving me a chance in your home?  I promise that if you decide to adopt me, you will not regret it because I am just such a sweet boy.  If you would like to learn more about me or would like to meet me, please contact my foster mom and she can answer any questions and set you up with a time to come and meet me. Her name is Alicia and her email address is tkn.alicia@gmail.com.

I hope to meet you soon!

Love,

Rory
