Bruno's Story...
Bruno is the sweetest, most handsome, gentle giant of a puppy. His brindle and white coat is sooo soft and silky and his spotted belly is just adorable. He is only about four months old but weighs close to 30 pounds and the vet thinks he is going to be a big boy when grown. We estimate 60-80 lbs. He loves people and dogs and is just a happy, easygoing guy. He is doing great with house training and hardly ever has an accident. Bruno is crate trained too and is being fostered in Birmingham, AL. He is a very special boy who survived parvo as a puppy and now is looking for his special forever home. If that could be you or if you would like more information about him, please email us at info@forrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruno, a Knoxville Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
