Bandit's Story...
PLEASE NOTE: We adopt our rescues in Southern California only and to homes where they are not left alone most of the day. Bandit might be good with older children but no young tots and no large dogs.

Bandit is a very wonderful purebred Papillon puppy about 9 months old. He is still very much a puppy who loves to play with you, toys and other small dogs. He has a best buddy here and they play like crazy (see Baxter). They would love to be adopted together but we will separate them.
Paps are known for their intelligence and he is especially smart, learning new things very quickly and figuring things out for himself.
Bandit is a beautiful boy. It is hard to tell in the pictures but he is what we call a minimal tri. He is not a black and white Pap but a tri-colored, with small tan eyebrows and cheek marks and tan under his tail. He has gorgeous poignant brown eyes with which he searches your soul. He weighs 9 pounds. . His coat has not fully grown in yet and it will be a typically pretty long-haired Papillon coat. He already shows lots of the breed’s famous ear fringe.

Bandit will need a basic obedience class. He knows stay and sort-of-sit but needs to come when he’s called, even if he’s just a bit scared (like of going to the vet). His adoption fee is $350 but we will refund $50 upon proof that he has completed an obedience class.

Bandit is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on shots and has had a vet exam. If you meet Bandit’s requirements and are interested in adopting him, please email us at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a San Diego County Papillon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in San Diego County, or seeking a Papillon puppy from a breeder in San Diego County.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego County already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego County breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego County paves the way for another one to be saved.
