Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scarlett(aka Lady) is a happy friendly Golden Retriever. She loves people and likes other dogs. She greets you with a wagging tail and a smiling
white-marked face. She has earned the nickname Lady, because she is just a sweet golden. She is playful but then will also sleep quietly by her foster mom while she's on the computer or at night watching tv. She is also the perfect size
golden, she weighs about 55 pounds.
Scarlett is a 6 year old breeder release, but don't tell her that. She has come so far since she came to GRFR that it's hard to tell that she has not been previously living with a loving family. Quick movements still frighten her, but she is basically your friendly, loving Golden. She loves all people as well and has done well with my many recent house visitors.
Sscarlett loves car rides and walks and she walks well on a lead. She has free roam of the house when her foster parents are gone, but likes the crate too. She is cute taking toys out of the toy basket and she is beginning to play with them. She is especially fond of chewing on nylabones. She loves roaming around the back yard with her foster sister and checking out all the bushes. Scarlett is house trained and sleeps through the night.
Scarlett will needs a home with another friendly confident dog so she can continue learning. She seems interested in kids, but small ones may move too fast and be too loud for her. She has not yet been cat tested. She is lookingfor a family who would take her out to experience the world and give her the love she so deserves.
Scarlett does suffer from occasional partial complex seizures. She is on medication and has not had a seizure since getting on the medication.
Currently her seizure medications are running approx. $50 per month. She needs one more follow up visit with our neurologist in 2-3 months, which GRFR will pay for. Going forward, her regular vet will be able to monitor her blood work as needed.
