Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! My name is Stanley. I am a 6-year-old neutered male purebred Doberman Pinscher. I weigh about 57 pounds. I am such a gentle soul, and I love getting pets from my human friends. Not to brag, but I've been told that I'm quite handsome, too. Just take a look at my photos and see for yourself! Not only do I enjoy spending time with people, but I also get along great with other dogs. I'm the total package!
I used to be homeless, living on the streets of south LA and fending for myself. I don't know for sure, but I think I probably got hit by a car at some point. I gotta say, it's pretty rough out there! When I was found, I was not bearing any weight on my left front leg, and I had a nasty cut on my right front paw. I was then brought to a high-kill city shelter. It didn't take the staff very long to determine that my front left leg was fractured. Ouch!
After waiting in my kennel at the pound for a couple of weeks, the kind people at CageFree decided to save me from that scary place. They sent me to their veterinarian in order to get the surgery I needed.. A bone plate was attached in order to realign and stabilize my leg. It's been several weeks since the surgery and I'm doing so much better! I still have a slight limp, but before you know it, I'll be as good as new!
I'm waiting so patiently for my forever home to come along. An ideal day for me would include some playtime with my family, a few walks around the block, and a nap on the couch (or two). Oh, and plenty of cuddles, too! Do you think I'd fit in with your family? If so, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree to schedule a time to come meet me!
