My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JACKSON is a 7 year old neutered chocolate male Lab who weighs 86 pounds. Jackson is a big, handsome hunk of a lab! He was previously living in an outdoor run and needs a patient family that is willing to help him adjust to the life of luxury he deserves! He listens well and despite his size responds well to correction. He is very sweet! Jackson has never had any obedience training but does know the command "sit". He is good with other dogs. His evaluator said: "Jackson was previously used for breeding and wanted to say hello to my female lab but after a few minutes he settled in and wagged his tail. He enjoyed taking treats and let me touch him all over. He is a sweet BIG boy. He lavished all the attention I gave him and listened pretty well to his handler."
From foster: Jackson's getting the lay of the land and meeting his foster sisters. He's a sweet, sweet boy. Owner give up to lab rescue due to lack of time and declining health. He is approved for kids 10+.

Update (4/9): Jackson is absolutely one of the most handsome labs around! He is just stunning. He has such a wonderful, playful and happy personality. He does flawlessly with the resident dogs. You can see Jackson starring in a short film, Jackson and the Jolly ball here! https://youtu.be/d-5BOmYUm0U

Update (4/6): Jackson is still waiting for his forever home. He loves spending time with his foster sisters and chasing and retrieving the ball. He does well walking on the leash. He's okay with cats and he sleeps through the night. He doesn't need to be crated and can be left alone in the house for a few hours while his fosters are away. You can't say enough good things about Jackson, he's a great dog!

Update (4/2): Jackson is still doing great in his foster home! Great news, he is good with cats and alpacas!

Update (3/30): Jackson is a wonderful, loving boy. He follows his foster mom wherever she goes and patiently waits her return when she is out. He sits on command and comes when you call his name. His favorite thing to do is curl up on the dog bed and go to sleep. Don't pass up seeing this beautiful boy.

Update (3/27): Jackson continues to do well. We are working with him on gently accepting treats. He's sleeping well and does not need a crate. He likes to chase the tennis ball with his foster sisters and has been curious about the cats but has not chased them. He would be a wonderful addition to any family as he is a sweet and loving boy
Update (3/24): Jackson continues to settle in well at his foster home! He is so handsome and loveable. He loves to play with tennis balls!

Update (3/14): Jackson has settled in quite well with his new foster family. He enjoys walking the yard and does so without pulling in his Easy Walk harness. His new foster sisters have welcomed him and they are all getting along. He is very calm and upon arriving home laid on the kitchen floor and fell asleep snoring.
