My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Arthur and I am a toy poodle. At 12 years old some people might
call me a 'senior citizen' but I know I am not ready for retirement just
yet! I am happy, peppy, and have no health issues, and we poodles generally
have quite a long life span. I just like to sleep more than when I was
younger! I am not very big, only 8 lbs, and of course I am a poodle so I
will require regular grooming. But I am a wonderful guy! I love all
people, get along with bigger and smaller dogs, pretty much don't care about
cats although I think it's fun to play with kittens, and I don't even mind
being groomed. I am a very well balanced gentlemen in search of just the
right home. I probably don't want to chase toys for little kids but I am
not nippy at all around them. I am not perfectly house trained but my
foster mom says she thinks that is more related to a 'transition' period
than me not really being house trained. I love to eat canned food and
treats. I love to lay next to you on the couch and love to be scratched and
talked to. Oh, and I love to sleep under the covers. I would be a great
companion dog for another dog my age or for any person who needs a little
