My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Most recent update:

Farrah is a beautiful one year old girl, we think she is a yellow lab mix, who is being surrendered because she is too active for her family and particularly the older dog in the household.

She was renamed Hildy but since we already have a dog with that name, we went back to her “old” name to decrease confusion.

Farrah would benefit from having another active dog in her home and a fenced yard but it has to be a tall one because she has learned that she can go over the fence with the snow pack we have had this crazy winter. She would love a family who runs, hikes or snowshoes.

She shows all the signs of a dog who needs more exercise – digging, chewing and getting into mischief. She doesn’t really love toys so that makes it harder to provide her with stimulation when she can’t be outside enough. She LOVES the outdoors.

Farrah is super sweet but can be fearful in new situations or with new people. She trusts her family and accepts their comfort in these situations. She prefers to sleep on as much of you as possible, and she is a super snuggler.

Farrah is fine with cats and loves other dogs. She loves the dog park and play dates with other active dogs. Farrah is a smart girl and will need continued training to help her have an outlet for her energy. She will jump to greet you so she would not be appropriate for young children. She sleeps with her 9 year old human.

Farrah is food motivated which is great for humans but not as great if you forget and leave food out.

We think she would LOVE doggy sports or opportunities to use her smart brain and active body.

To apply to adopt this dog, please visit our web site to access our application and learn more about adoption through Lucky Pup Rescue, www.luckypuprescue.org, or request an application via email, luckypuprescue@yahoo.com.

Please note, we do not have a physical location, but we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.

Thank you for considering rescue!
