My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We first learned about the beautiful Kalya when we received a frantic email one night telling us of a chained dog whose owner was threatening to shoot her!  With the help of some wonderful people we got her the next morning and brought her to our fabulous vet to get her checked out.
 
This sweet girl had several large lumps that had burst - probably quite a while ago - and that was why her life was in danger.  The person who was supposed to love and protect her wanted to shoot her rather than get her vet care....
 
Kalya had the lumps removed and her other vetting done and we discovered one of the most loving girls we've taken into rescue.  Happily her lumps were all benign - we hate cancer!
 
Kayla is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and hw negative.
Kayla is about 9 years old and loves everyone with 2 or 4 legs.  It was obvious when we got her home that she had been an inside dog at one point.  She knows how to use a doggy door, hops up in bed at night and located the refrigerator in seconds flat.  She also loves to sunbathe and go on leisurely walks.
Kayla is a gentle soul who will be a wonderful addition to any family.
