Tux's Story...
Tux is a long lean boy in a tuxedo cat. He has a handsome face with big green eyes and long white whiskers, and the cutest little white toes.

Tux is a sweetheart. He loves to be given pets. He is an easy boy to cuddle although he does not always want to be picked up. He loves being close to his people and does well with older children. He is friendly and ready to be part of a real forever home. He does fine with other nice cats that are friendly to him and walks away from those who are not nice. He is uneasy around dogs though in time he may do fine with a mellow dog. He is young, maybe just a year or two old.

He is in a foster home in Wasilla.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tux, a Anchorage Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Anchorage, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Anchorage.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anchorage already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anchorage breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anchorage paves the way for another one to be saved.
