Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DOB February 6, 2013.
While many cats play hard to get, Leonardo will take all the love you’re willing to share! He really enjoys human company and will never say no to a good cuddle, play, or petting session. Despite his friendliness, Leonardo is quite shy so he needs you to make the first move.
Leonardo came from a hoarding situation and was initially very scared. He’s proven himself to be quite brave and has since learned to trust humans. When we first met Leonardo he would hide from us and hiss—now he’s the cuddliest cat we’ve ever encountered.
We recently found out that Leonardo has asthma. Fortunately, this is a very manageable condition. As long as he gets his puffer twice a day, he’s good to go! This treatment costs about $100/month and only takes a minute to do. Although it’s a weird experience, he’s very patient and cooperative.
Leonardo would love to find forever a home where he has time to truly to settle in and feel safe. He’s quick to trust new people, and as long as you keep rewarding him with love (treats help too!), he’ll show you his courageous side and come out of his shell. His foster family shares: "If we didn’t travel so much, we would adopt Leonardo in a heartbeat!"
Due to Leonardo's medical expenses, an adoption fee of your choice is appreciated (vs. our standard adoption fee of $175).
