I’ll never get stale; there’s enough of me to share with the whole family, and I am limited edition deliciousness! I get along great with the other dogs here, will enjoy gentle children, and even did great meeting the cats. Obedience training is new to me, so there may be a few steps to my recipe that need to be worked out, but I am doing great with my crate training here, and I come out of my little oven fresh every morning! Give this little Pretzel a try today! You won’t be disappointed…with my love! 2 years old-17lbs. My adoption fee is $180 and includes spay microchip reduced-cost training class, 1 month pet health insurance, free veterinary exam, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pretzel, a Portland Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Portland, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
