Need foster home or available to adopt. Foster parents have the first option to adopt. We will provide all you need to foster.
Breed: Looks very Maltese with Shih Tzu coloring and body shape. Maltese face and ears.
Weight: 6.3 lbs. but will probably grow a little more
Age: 7 to 8 months old
Personality: Calm for a puppy. He's an absolute sweetheart. Great with other dogs and people. Loves to play and hang out. Would make a great companion! Affectionate.
Coat: NON-SHEDDING, will grow long so will need regular grooming
Training: Knows sit. Foster mom is teaching other commands. Adopter will need to continue training for happiness of the dog and human family.
Potty trained: Yes
Health: Excellent, no health issues
History: Lotto was rescued from a high-kill shelter in South Korea. Some of these shelters have so many dogs and limited resources, so the dogs only eat every 3 days. Mixed breeds have a very difficult time getting adopted in Korea. They often end up euthanized or sold to make dog bone broth to slaughterhouses. One of our rescue partners in Korea was able to save Lotto and he has been in foster care over in Korea.
Fostered in: Fullerton
Type of home: Lotto would be happy with pet siblings or as an only dog. Apartment or house with yard. Small dogs still need exercise! Lotto really enjoys carrying around a tennis ball. His Cocker Spaniel foster sister is teaching him all about fetching the ball!
Crate trained: Yes, sleeps in crate
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $300.
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
