Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Who can't use a little HOPE in their lives?? Especially when HOPE comes with a soft brindle coat, a long tail and adorable ears! My name is HOPE and I am a beautiful Shepherd/Hound Mix. I am approximately 18 months old so I am over a lot of the crazy puppy stages. I am a great mid-sized dog, weighing in at a healthy 45 pounds. I read once that HOPE stands for "hold on, pain ends". This is so true of my life. Until just recently, my future was more than a little depressing! I was living in a high kill shelter in Southern Indiana and my days were truly numbered. The shelter realized that I was much too nice of a dog for such a depressing demise. My painful past ceased when Rover Rescue was contacted. Thank goodness! Now I am living with a loving and caring foster family in Illinois. I am so relieved! They have promised to help me find a permanent home deserving of such a great dog like me. I have been told that I am pretty wonderful. I warm up quickly with all who meet me. I like those who walk on two feet and four feet. I do really well with the young ones, too. I have a great time with the other dogs in my foster home and playing with toys is the best! I haven't been introduced to cats, so I don't know how I would react to those feline fellows. I have superb manners and I am both crate trained and house broken. Due to my good indoor behavior, I am allowed to sleep in the master bedroom. I curl up next to my foster mom's side of the bed and sleep peacefully all night long. I enjoy playing and romping in the yard, but my favorite activity is cuddling up on the couch. I once heard, "Don't lose HOPE~ you never know what tomorrow may bring." Hopefully, it will bring me into your arms soon! If you would like to find out more information regarding me, HOPE, please contact Peggy at 815-756-3719. The adoption fee of $200 for HOPE includes her spay, up-to-date vetting and microchip.
