Lucky's Story...
Lucky is a golden/chow mix, estimated to be 2 years old. This poor boy is very scared of people. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body, he is just scared, and will need to learn how to trust again. He allows us to pet him, but isn't quite comfortable with it yet. He does like his treats though....his favorite is cheese sticks. We are working with him, what he needs most right now is consistency, and that is exactly what he is going to get. If interested in Lucky, we ask that it is someone that can visit with him more than once to gain his trust. If interested in Lucky, please the following information in your e-mail: Do you rent/own? Do you have a fenced in yard?, do you have children (ages), and do you have other animals? Thank you in advance!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Tampa Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
