My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Henry, he has a salt and pepper look because he has schnauzer in him. He is only around 3 years old and 26 lbs! Henry has become a sweet, loving, happy, jumping, ball-chasing, couch sitting, bed sleeping dog. He is great on a leash and loves to walk. He sleeps in his crate during the day with no complaints at all, but is ok in the house too. Henry gets along just fine with other dogs and we are requiring he have another dog in his FORever home . Another dog will make Henry feel more comfortable and show Henry how the new household works. Henry also really loves to play so a playful dog would be best for him :) He's the ultimate companion for another dog!

Henry is looking for just the right person to adopt him. He didn’t see many people as he was growing up, so he is frightened by most people and things, at first. He’s just not real used to the outside world and people yet. Possibly because of his sheltered upbringing, Henry seems to have allergies. Right now, he takes a Bendaryl at night and should get a bath every week or so. But there are no issues that slow him down!

Are you willing to be very patient with this cute little guy? He needs someone to show him around his new home and explain the rules. Then he will be ready to carefully and slowly explore his new world. He is definitely curious but needs help being less scared and building his self-confidence. Once he decides you are his person you have a friend for life! He will stick with you and love you until the end of time!

Henry is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but is not picky about where he ends up as long as he is an inside dog and loved with patience! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped! Please email info@FORrescue.net or apply directly athttp://www.FORrescue.net/dog-application
