My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear! He is a 1 year old Cattle Dog/Lab cross that weighs 27 lbs. and stands 17 inches at the withers. He was named “Bear” because he resembles a California Brown bear with a dense short chocolate brown coat with golden highlights on his legs and belly and just a touch of white on his chest. Don’t let the pictures fool you – he looks like a large dog but he is a great medium size dog. Bear’s foster Dad gave him the nickname “Pretzel” to describe what he looks like when he gets wiggles with excitement when he greets visitors. He is a very unique stocky, sturdy guy with a bobbed tail who is a quick learner and loves to please. Bear loves to chase the ball, go for walks and rides in the car. In fact, he loads himself up as soon as the door opens. He loves people and other dogs. He would be a great hiking, walking, running or camping companion. Bear is still has some ‘puppy’ attitude and must continue dog school or go to an experienced person so he can be the best he can be. He already knows sit, down and walks great on a leash. Bear is good with older kids but is too active for small children. He does not have experience with cats. He is enjoying ranch life with his current foster family and would do great at a home in the country. He is also happy with another canine companion.
Bear is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all shots. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org or phone 707-529-4643.
