Zeus's Story...
Meet Zeus! He is a brindle and white, 4 year old, 53 pound, purebred boxer. He is a very sweet, handsome boy. He is crate trained and house broken. He knows a few basic commands such as sit and down, but would love to learn a few more tricks. Zeus appears to love just about every living creature, getting along with cats and other dogs. He showed a lot of patience with puppies, sharing his toys and even sharing food. He is good in the house and loves attention even if that means lying on a couch and watching TV. He enjoys walks and meeting new people. Zeus’ owner has had him since he was a small puppy and now conditions beyond their control have forced then to give up their loving companion. Zeus is a great age and would be a wonderful addition to your family.
Zeus is neutered, micro-chipped, and up to date on all shots. For more information go to www.3rrescue.org or phone 707-529-4643.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeus, a Winters Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Winters, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Winters.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winters already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winters breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winters paves the way for another one to be saved.
