Breed: French Bulldog
Weight: 34 lbs
Age: 2 years 10 months (5-14-12 bday)
Personality: Energetic, active, playful, very friendly, typical Frenchie personality, independent but not stubborn
Coat: Short, smooth, soft, will require occasional bath
Training: Knows basic obedience commands in Korean and English
Potty trained: Yes
Health: Excellent, allergies to bleach and milk products, eats kibble only
History: Tucker was well taken of and loved a great deal, but his mom was being abused by her husband. She went to a safe house with their one year old baby, but they wouldn't allow animals. She asked our rescue partner in S. Korea to ask us to bring Tucker to California to find a new loving family.
Fostered in: La Habra
Type of home: Either an only dog or with other dog, as long as they don't mind the rambunctious style of play that bully breeds are known for. He is not good with small or timid dogs, as he may try to bully them. He doesn't get along well with pushy dogs. Ideal would be a large or medium size, easygoing, playful sibling. Tucker loves to run so he really needs to be placed in a home with a back yard. He's very active. Tucker needs to exercise twice a day. Local applicants only - 2 hours maximum.
Crate trained: Yes, sleeps in crate
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $500.
All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
Our adoption process looks like this:
1. Adoption application review by WHDR board
2. Adoption application approval
3. Meet and greet
4. Home safety check
5. Final approval and adoption finalized
Our volunteers, donors and adopters mean the world to us! Without you, we couldn't do what we do - saving the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and providing them with a loving forever home.
