Green Arrow's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Green Arrow's Story...
Big fan of: Stuffed animals, road trips, any kind of food, other dogs, exploring with his sensitive nose, and sleeping at his humans feet.

Not a fan of: Sharing the spotlight with other pets. Green Arrow likes socializing with other friendly dogs but in his forever home he prefers to be the only four-legged family member so that he can have all the toys and attention to himself.

A little more: This handsome Beagle mix came to PAWS from another shelter. Weighing in at 37 pounds, Green Arrow recently spent some time in a foster home and got rave reviews! Green Arrow is already house-trained and loves running around in the backyard. He’s only about 2-years-old so he has plenty of energy for playtime. His foster family described him as very sweet and curious. He loves to learn and is sure to do well in obedience class!

Dream home: Green Arrow is searching for a hound lover who understands his unique breed. He will do best with kids 15+ and is sure to fill your life with love and laughter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Green Arrow, a Chicago Basset Hound/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Beagle for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Basset Hound/Beagle dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Beagle breeders who help with Basset Hound/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
