Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Vala was in terrible shape when we first got her. You can see the before and after pictures of her. She had mange so bad and was starved, she was in so much pain. When animal control got her that day they said there was someone trying to run her down with their car and another trying to kill her with an axe. I know this sounds hard to believe but there really are some cruel people out there.
Today Vala is a beautiful dog. She was adopted by a wonderful family that is in the armed forces. The husband is out of the country and it all got to much for the mum having 2 children to bring up and a dog that is very strong and high energy. Vala would do great in a home with a nice yard to run as she does have a lot of energy and a strong man to control her. She was in a home with a smaller dog and was a bit bossy with him to start with. They did become great buddies. She would do better in a home without very young children, she is very strong and could knock them down. She is not good with cats at all, a lot of German Shepherd are not. If you are willing to put the time in with this beautiful girl you will have a buddy for life.
