Barney's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Barney's Story...
Barney was recently surrendered to us from his owner who was entering a nursing home. He is approximately 11 yrs old and small for a mini schnauzer, weighing only 12 lbs. But don't let his age and size fool you, he's in great health and is a lover and cuddler. He is good with other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog too. Barney's personality is very easy going and non-confrontational. He is crate trained, house trained, very easy to groom, and he makes the funniest groaning noises when he's rooting around in his dog bed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barney, a Springfield Miniature Schnauzer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Schnauzer for sale in Springfield, or seeking a Miniature Schnauzer dog from a breeder in Springfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Springfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Springfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Schnauzer breeders who help with Miniature Schnauzer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Springfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
