Joey's Story...
We LOVE Joey's sweet face and floppy ears. Everyone that meets him remarks what a handsome dog he is- and Joey is happy to soak up all the attention. He is a very outgoing, friendly dog who loves everyone he meets. Joey has a fun, puppy-ish energy and loves to play- we bet he would make a wonderful playmate for your dog at home! As much as Joey loves to play, he loves people even more and takes his role as "lap dog" very seriously. Joey's dream home has lots of toys and lots of love to share with him- does that sound like YOUR home?!

Joey is approximately 2 yrs old and his adoption fee is $20, which includes shots up to date, county license and neuter. You can visit Joey at the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control, East shelter at: 2360 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Mesa. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday & Sunday.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Phoenix Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Chihuahua/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
