Cayden's Story...
Cayden is a one year old lab/beagle mix. He is a transfer from another facility so his history is not known. Cayden is an affectionate fellow that loves attention and belly rubs. He would love nothing more than to be adopted into a loving family that would include him in their activities. A fenced in yard would be a big plus too. Cayden looks forward to getting out of his cage and playing in the fenced in area or going for walks with the volunteers. Don't keep this good boy waiting long. Adopt Cayden today! All dogs are now micro-chipped.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cayden, a Elyria Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Beagle for sale in Elyria, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Beagle dog from a breeder in Elyria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elyria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elyria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Beagle breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elyria paves the way for another one to be saved.
