My name is Kitty and well I have one heck of a story to tell you, but FIRST let's get right into the specifics about me. I am 2 years old and 20.6 pounds! I definitely am a little beagle girl, but what else I am mixed with is anyones guess. I do have soft fur so something soft sure is in there. Speaking of soft, if I were a human, I would be what you humans describe as being "soft spoken" and a bit shy at first. I am not a typical talkative beagle. I am extremely submissive! I go belly up with a raised voice and with dogs rough housing at first. I am fostered with dogs and kids and I am very good with both, but again I do take a little time to come around. I am VERY good with my potty habits. In fact, my foster mom using a combination of the crate and a watchful eye has had me for almost a week now with NO accidents. Of course that is due in part to her diligence, but basically I KNOW where I am supposed to go so as long as my new family allows for some patience and implements a structured schedule, that transition will be pretty easy. Really, the biggest challenge for me is kindness. You see, my former dad very clearly hit me. I am submissive when humans raise their voices even if it is loud laughing and I go belly up if you go to reach for me. Clearly, someone mishandled me BUT THANKFULLY I am submissive and sweet and do not have a mean bone in my little body. I do love to snuggle up with you! I really am going to be the most wonderful and loyal family member you ever had with just a few days of patience and understanding. You see, my home of 2 years was a gentleman, who recently found himself in a lotta trouble with the law. As a result, he went to prison, and ironically that caused me to end up in the pound which is very much like prison. I was quite scared there and the nice people at the pound were able to get me into rescue, into a foster home, which is exactly what I needed. Here, I am starting to relax and this foster family is wonderful. They are patient, loving, kind, and they are really showing me what true love is all about. If you are willing to pick up where they left off, I can tell you that I am truly loving all this attention and I have decided that I am going to settle for nothing but the best just like them. So if you are patient, loving, kind, and ready and willing to share your life with me, go to www.cthar.org and complete the application. I mean, if you are not patient enough to read all of this and then fill out the app...there is no way you are the right home for me. However, if you have read this and are as excited to meet me as I am you.... go to WWW.CTHAR.ORG and complete the application and let them know Kitty sent you.
