Bernie's Story...
Handsome and sweet! I'm a heart breaker who has it all. My name is Bernie, and I'm a 1-2 year old 59 lbs St. Bernard mix (or that's my best guess anyway). I’m in a foster home in NY and looking for my FOREVER HOME.

My fabulous foster family says, "We have been fostering Bernie for a little over a month. He is a wonderful dog who gets along great with his four fur buddies. He is a very mellow, calm, go-with-the-flow kind of dog. He is fully housebroken, walks very nicely on a leash and is working very hard on learning some basic commands. He is not at all phased by a houseful of people and dogs. He would make a wonderful addition to any family." I've been around older children so far, and I'm great with them. I’m neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. My adoption fee is $375. Adopters must have a fully fenced yard.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Sagaponack St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Sagaponack, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Sagaponack.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sagaponack already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sagaponack breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sagaponack paves the way for another one to be saved.
