My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SPOT is a 2 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 72 pounds. Spot is very sweet and also strong, so an easy walk harness will be good for him. Spot’s foster gave him a bath which he liked once he figured it out and was also able to clean his ears. Spot has been great with all of his foster’s resident dogs and foster dogs. He is from a rural area and may not do well in a
condo/townhouse/apartment/busy neighborhood setting. Spot was an owner surrender, because his owner didn't want him anymore and let him wander the streets but he is with LR now and will find a loving owner. Spot is approved for kids ages 10+.

Update (3/30): Spot did very well at another visit to the dog park. He largely ignored the other dogs but was very friendly with all the people. Spot did chase the ball in the backyard so he may make a retriever yet. He does not need to be crated. He tries to find the most comfortable bed or couch to sleep on while you are out.

Update (3/29): Spot rode well in the car on his way to his foster home. Spot seems indifferent to other dogs. Two female huskies at the dog park gave him a thorough check out, and he was fine with them and the other dogs sniffing him. Spot does not seem to know how to play with other dogs or retrieve. He looks at me when I throw the ball with a look like, "you gonna get that?" Spot loves to snuggle. You have a free hand? It should be petting him. Spot would like to be a lap dog. He's very comfortable jumping on the couch and falling asleep. He will jump on the bed to sleep with you. Spot seemed to enjoy the dog park and did come when called. Spot needs to polish his leash manners.
