for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Gizmo's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Gizmo's Story...
ACG offers a lifetime return policy to all adopters to ensure our cats don’t end up thrown away at the pound. Gizmo recently came back to us after his family didn’t address his medical needs. You see, Gizmo had developed diabetes and he had lost half his body weight in 9 months without ever being taken to the vet!

Back in ACG’s care, Gizmo immediately received medical attention. He’s now recuperating in his foster home, but we know he’d love to be back with a family of his own. He’s very good natured about his daily insulin shots and actually seems to enjoy the extra attention. After much TLC, you can see Gizmo's filled out and he's quite healthy again (compare to last photo).

Gizmo would do best in a single cat family or an environment where his food intake can be monitored. Ready to save the day and give this sweet boy the TLC he deserves? Gizmo hopes you’ll say “Yes!”

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gizmo, a Modesto Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Modesto, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Modesto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Modesto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Modesto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Modesto paves the way for another one to be saved.
