Banjo's Story...
"Bonded Pair Need A Home"
Meet Doogan & Banjo! They were adopted from the NK Shelter about 3 years ago together (they were formally Rubin & Snoop). Unfortunately, their owner came on hard times and she may be losing her home. The best thing for the dogs right now is to re-home them. They are both neutered males, estimated to be around 5-6 years old. Doogan is a Great Pyrenees mix and Banjo is a Smooth Collie. Doogan loves car rides, and he loves to be around people. He is always the center of attention! He loves to play fetch and do tricks. Banjo is more independent, he is very laid back and low key. He does love people too and he loves to go for long walks in the woods. Both dogs are house trained and know their basic commands.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Banjo, a North Kingstown Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in North Kingstown, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in North Kingstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Kingstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Kingstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Kingstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
