My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snoopy has got a story to tell. In many ways, Snoopy is just like many other loving, gentle and docile pets. He craves attention and affection, and really wants to be in the company of others. He’s a mellow guy who is also a “mush”. He is the Greeter in our cat room, and never tires of new faces and petting. So, who would expect a cat like this to be abandoned?! Each year, thousands of animals are abandoned in cemeteries, parking lots, wooded areas and train stations – to name just a few of the more common spots of choice. People seem to think that cats can find mice in these areas, or will live on hand-outs. The truth is that many domestic pets don’t make it in a world that they know nothing about. Cats like Snoopy, so thin when he first arrived, have learned first-hand what it is like to suddenly find yourself in a world without cat chow and a loving home. Snoopy was one of the lucky ones. A good Samaritan picked him up and brought him to our shelter. Snoopy was just too nice to have to fend for himself. Many abandoned cats have unhappy endings: hit by cars, frostbitten and starving in winter, and only occasionally able to steal a piece of left-over sandwich from a garbage bin. This is the life that Snoopy was saved from. Suddenly, Snoopy’s luck has changed – will you make his life even better? All Snoopy needs is YOU so that he can live happily ever after. Please come and enjoy being greeted by your future companion!
