My story

Hi there everyone! I’m Trixie. I am 3 years old and 56 pounds. I got lost and was brought to a shelter. AGB agreed to take me because the shelter gets so full and no one came to claim me. I know I am the color of midnight, not usually the color of the dogs you see at AGB, but my time was running out at the shelter and the AGB folks are big softies. They couldn’t stand to see anything bad happen to me, so they promised to find me the perfect family. I am a retriever, even if I am a black one, and they say I have a retriever’s heart and sweet personality. My ears were hurting me something awful, but AGB’s doctors are giving me some medicine for that and I am feeling better already. Luckily, I do not have heartworms or any other serious medical issues, so after getting spayed and microchipped, I should be ready to go to my forever home. I like to ride in the car and I play well with other dogs. I am just waiting to meet that special person who wants to make me their special forever friend.
