Sasha's Story...
"Beauty, brains…I've got it all. My name is SASHA, and I'm a well-trained and affectionate German Shepherd Dog. I'm about six years old, so I can be playful and fun, yet I know how to calm down and just "hang." I love to play fetch with toys, so I'm going to need a good-sized yard. I enjoy going for walks, too, so maybe we can enjoy this lovely weather together. Like most dogs, I'll do best with daily exercise. I'd be a wonderful family pet in home where the kids are older, and I'll need to be the only dog in my home. I appreciate being brushed and adored, so I know that I'd be a loving companion and life-long friend. I've already been house trained, so I'm ready to start my new life with you. Won't you please come visit me? I'm waiting for you here at the El Cajon Animal Shelter, and they've got an excellent play yard where we can spend some time getting to know each other. I think you'll find that I'm the girl that you've been looking for. Love, Sasha" Kennel #46

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha, a El Cajon German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
