Jackson's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Jackson's Story...
Jackson came to us as an owner surrender after the grandkids moved in and Jackson was overwhelmed. He was fine with the kids as long as they left him alone, but when they rushed towards him, they scared him and he nipped their legs. He is a black lab/Heeler mix, and he is about 1.5 years old. He is housetrained, crate trained, and knows all his basic commands. He is a bit shy on first meeting, but he bonds quickly. He is super affectionate and loves to be petted. He has a wonderful energy level and we've been told that he is trustworthy off leash, and that he loves water and going camping. The owners said that he is not destructive when left alone. Give this guy a chance to get comfortable with you and you will have yourself a loyal and devoted dog.

Jackson adoption fee is $150 and includes neuter, current vaccines, microchip, free vet visit, 30 days free pet health insurance, and custom engraved ID tag.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson, a Madras Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog for sale in Madras, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Madras.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madras already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madras breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madras paves the way for another one to be saved.
