My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My favorite things: posing, eating, grooming, being an ornament, being the only pet.

Suzy was orphaned after about 10 years with the same owner. Then this poor little sweetheart was abandoned and left a alone for 4 months with someone just feeding her once or twice daily. So just do math orphaned + left alone 4 months = serious abandonment issues and fear and anxiety due to being deaf as well. Can you imagine? As a result, she has developed a very loud howl, scream, if she gets scared being alone or alone too long. She meows and makes utterly adorable loud vocalizations as well.

Yet, despite that, Suzy is very gentle, loving and sweet, She is also a tiny little old lady at only 6lbs on a good day. She would be an incredible wonderful companion for someone as she just loves being with someone. THAT is her big need, just to be with someone as much as possible. And, despite her age of 12, maybe a little older, she has a rowdy side when she gets wound up and darts around a little and she also enjoys the Cat's Meow toy and chasing a string as well.

Suzy is looking for a quiet home with a retired couple or individual. The more someone is home, the better. Suzy is a great friend to anyone who has a warm lap, brushes her or likes to snuggle in bed or on a couch. She has lots of vocalizations which are loud because she can't hear the so meows louder then most cats. When she loudly meows "hello" or "thank you" it is really precious.

We are looking for a deaf person or someone who doesnt mind occasional howling. We believe over time this will subside. It is he only "annoying" behavior. Other then that she is a little lady, well mannered and doesn't bother anything. Suzy must live without other cats but we are willing to work with someone who has just one dog to see if we can make that work.

If you ever want to truly "RESCUE" a pet, she is in need of it. Her loud crying and her need to be the only cat makes her a harder to place cat so please step up and give her a good loving home!
