My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rufus is a male approximately 18 months old black and white border collie mix. Our best guess is that he is a BC/ Aussie X. He is taller than a BC, but has the thicker bone structure and wider head. In any case, Rufus is like a big teddy bear. he has an even keel temperament and is really pretty easy going. He is so affectionate and warms right up to you. He is always happy to see you and he leans right up into you for some attention. He walks decently on a leash and rides well in a crate in the car. Rufus is well socialized with other dogs and really enjoys playing with his foster sibling Linc. Rufus has not exhibited any food aggression around people or other dogs. Rufus has not been evaluated with cats.

Rufus is one of those dogs who wants to forge a close bond with his new family. We think he would be a nice family dog and a nice introduction for the novice into the herding breeds. Whoever adopts Rufus will have a loyal K9 BFF for life.
