Duke's Info...

Duke's Story...
Duke was brought to us by his owner who got him as an eight week old puppy. She lived with him in her apartment for a couple of months, then returned to her parents home where Duke was relegated to the back fenced yard.

Putting a puppy in a back yard with nothing but time on his paws is not the greatest idea, and now that he is older, still puppyish, but getting fairly large, things weren't working so well.

She started him in classes, but lacked the time to not only attend the classes, but to work with him outside of class.

Duke has been surrendered to GreenePets to find him a home with more time for this high energy, fun loving, under socialized fella.

Potential adopters must be familiar with the Malinois breed, because Duke is definitely high play drive.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Greeneville Belgian Malinois/Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Belgian Malinois/Great Dane for sale in Greeneville, or seeking a Belgian Malinois/Great Dane dog from a breeder in Greeneville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greeneville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greeneville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Belgian Malinois/Great Dane breeders who help with Belgian Malinois/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greeneville paves the way for another one to be saved.
