My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoe is a red Chihuahua who is about 2 yrs. old. We first found her when she was living rough, hiding under a pile of junk in a vacant lot. She was adopted into what we thought was her forever home but sadly she is being returned to us and is in immediate need of a foster or forever home. Zoe's owner unfortunately has some very serious medical issues which will require hospitalization and extensive treatment and she is unable to take care of Zoe any longer.
Zoe is a wonderful girl, very mellow and gentle. She gets along great with all people, dogs, children and cats. In her most recent home there were 2 severely autistic children and Zoe functioned essentially as a therapy dog for them. She was well loved. She is 99% housetrained but will have the occasional accident in the home. She had a little anxiety in the beginning and was overly attached to her owner, but she settled in nicely and became a valued member of the family. Zoe has had a string of bad luck and we hope it is about to end. She will make a wonderful, mellow companion. Can you open your heart to this special dog?
