My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE NOTE THAT BREED, AGE, AND SIZE AT MATURITY ARE ONLY GUESSES! If an animal is still posted for adoption, he/she is still available, so there is no need to email us to see if available. If you find yourself interested in one of our animals, it's advised to submit an application immediately which can be obtained on-line on our website at angelsonwheels.org. Emails will slow down the process, and while you are awaiting an email response which can take 7 days, we may get applications. Please read the information provided below before emailing us, as most of your questions are answered below. Will only answer those emails where the answers to the questions are already provided below. Thank you for your understanding.

Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but gives you a head start with the adoption approval process. We do not schedule meet and greets until the application is approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. We are all volunteers and work as quickly as possible between jobs and friends, and we thank you in advance for your patience.

Meet Maggie May who was born around 1/31/15 and a total sweetheart and 6.5 pounds as of April 5th. She is being fostered in a home in Sugar Grove around children, other dogs and kitties and is great with them all. Maggie is a little shy and more timid than her sister, but don't let that confuse you, cause she has quite a bark and isn't afraid to use it. So an apartment or condo living would not be the right match for her. She may be small, but she is quite mighty. she is a puppy so chewing and napping are her favorite activities, aside from playing with her sister. She is going to be a beautiful soft fluffy dog.

We aren't sure of the breed but think possibly Australian Shepherd mix or border collie, both of which tend to be on the smaller side of medium size, but that is just our best guess She came from a high volume shelter in Kentucky and was an owner surrender due to an accidental litter.

She loves to snuggle is a playful pup who love being with their people. If you are gone working all day, a puppy isn't the right match for you. Puppies need to be crate trained properly and that can take a couple weeks. It's not good or fair for a young dog or puppy to be crated for 8+ hours a day at this age. You must live within 60 miles of one of our participating vets in order to adopt as Maggy May is not fixed yet. Our vets are from Yorkville, to Naperville to Joliet to Elmhurst. For more information about the adoption process, please go to our website at angelsonwheels.org and click on the "adoptables" tab.

If you think this pup might fit perfectly into your family and you would like to meet her, please fill out our Adoption application which can be found on our website at www.angelsonwheels.org. An approved adoption application is required prior to making an appointment for a meet and greet. We do not have a physical building for you to visit thus the reason an application is required prior to making an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

The adoption fee of $300.00 includes: The Spaying/ Neutering which will be done when old enough, but paid for by the rescue if through one of our participating vets. There is a fully refundable spay/neuter deposit of $100.00 which is required. Microchip, current on DHPP puppy vaccinations, rabies vaccination if over 4 months, dewormed with panacur, treated with revolution, leash and collar, and any other medical needs.

You will also receive a free office visit to one of our participating vets for a free health exam. Thank you for looking at our rescued animals.
