My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB July 30, 2012

If you want a boy who will love you unconditionally and be a snuggle buddy, then this is the boy for you. He is shy at first but give him some love and he’s all over it. He loves to give head bonks and have his ears scratched and is okay with belly rubs (he’ll let you know when he’s had enough). This shy boy has captured his foster Mom’s heart and she knows that with time and patience he will capture yours too!

Jerome is a big sweet handsome boy who tends to be timid when he first meets you - it will take some time before he’s comfortable with you. He came to us from an hoarding situation, but he is still leery of other cats. Anything new seems to send Jerome running for cover but he is learning that he is safe at his foster home and is not hiding as much as when he first arrived. Once Jerome gains trust in his new parents and feels safe in his new surroundings we have no doubts that he will fully come out of his shell.

Since he has gotten more comfortable with his foster Mom he has showed what a love bug he really is. He likes to be held, but not for long periods of time. He is also a "talker", so a good play before bed will help him from having late night chats with you. Jerome loves to play and any wand toy is a good thing, but his favourite is feathers, he just loves them! He is just starting to figure out how to play on his own. Jerome loves to curl up in your arms at night and either sleep there, or more often than not, he likes to curl up on his foster mom's pillow above her head.

He loves to be brushed, he will lay right down and purr up a storm as you brush him which is good because he is a fluffy fellow. He is also fine with you brushing his belly! He is not fussy about having his nails clipped but will allow you do clip them.

Jerome is on a hypo-allergenic diet because he was losing his fur due to stress. His hair is starting to grow back in and there has been no more hair loss other then the initial episode.

A home with lots of attention, affection and patience is best suited for this handsome boy. Is Jerome your newest furry family member? He sure hopes so!
