Simba's Story...
Meet Simba, a one year old chihuahua mix who weighs 12 lbs. Our best guess is that he is what they call a Chug - a Chihuahua/Pug mix. He's good with other dogs but he doesn't like to share his goodies with them. This behavior may go away as he feels more secure. He's great with people but small children might not be a good fit since he likes to jump up. He's new to rescue but does seem to be housebroken. Simba walks very well on leash.

f you are interested in finding out more about Simba, please fill out an application. Simba is being fostered in Holbrook.

The adoption fee is $375.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.Simba

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simba, a Worcester Chihuahua/Pug puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pug for sale in Worcester, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pug puppy from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pug breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
