My story

Hello! My name is Merlin and I am a very young White-Capped Pionus. I was very sick when I came into Florida Parrot Rescue, but after 6 months of treatment for a very sever fungal infection (probably aspergillosis), I am finally healthy and ready to be adopted! My foster Mom says that I am a sweet and friendly bird, that I step up for anyone. I am also relatively quiet and I am not fussy about what I eat. I LOVE chop and clear the chop bowl every morning, but will also eat pellets, fresh vegetables, fruits, and healthy nuts. I also tend to stay on my play areas, I don’t climb down or get into trouble – yet, tee hee! I do LOVE toys and I go through a lot – so anyone who decides to make me a lifetime family member needs to have a direct line to amazon or a nice avian supply store where you can purchase me new toys VERY often! I really hope that you come and visit me very soon and decide to make me part of your family!
