Lena's Story...
Lena recently arrived in this area after being rescued from a high-kill shelter in NC. Lena spent her previous life as an outdoor dog, chained to a tree, and so she is just now learning to walk on a leash. Happy and friendly, Lena loves to jump up and give you a "hug" and would sit in your lap if you'd let her! Although she doesn't bark much, Lena does have the Husky tendency to "talk" to you to let you know what she wants. Lena needs an experienced person who is willing to take the time to train her to be a well-mannered indoor dog. In return, Lena will give you her unconditional love and loyalty.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lena, a Herndon Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky for sale in Herndon, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky dog from a breeder in Herndon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Herndon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Herndon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Herndon paves the way for another one to be saved.
